Chapter 8:- holding his hand

(ARNA sits on the edge of the bed, her hands trembling as she covers her eyes. SAHAS steps closer—wearing only a low-slung towel wrapped tightly around his waist, water droplets still glinting on his bare, chiseled chest. His movements are deliberate and silent, like a predator stalking its prey. He leans down, his lips dangerously close to the shell of her ear.)

SAHAS

(In a low, velvety whisper)

Open your eyes, baby girl...

(Arna shivers at the feeling of his warm breath and the cool moisture against her skin. Her pulse spikes, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.)

ARNA

(Stammering, her voice barely a breath)

What... what are you doing?

SAHAS

(Smirking, his voice dripping with smooth dominance)

Nothing... I'm just coming closer to my wifey.

(Before she can react, Sahas slides his large, bare hand around her slender waist. With a swift, powerful pull, he yanks her body flush against his damp chest. Arna’s hands fly off her eyes in shock, instinctively landing flat against his chest to force some distance between them.)

(Their eyes lock. Time seems to stop. The tension in the room turns suffocatingly intense—a lethal mix of dark desire and irresistible heat. Sahas gazes down at her, his expression softening for a fraction of a second as he leans in, his eyes dropping to her lips.)

(He is just a breath away from kissing her when—)

(A LOUD PHONE RINGING SHATTERS THE SILENCE from the nightstand nearby.)

(Arna snaps out of the trance. Panic surging through her veins, she violently pushes him off her chest, completely flustered.)

(Sahas stumbles back slightly, his expression instantly darkening. Irritated, he turns around, walks over to the nightstand, and picks up his phone.)

SAHAS

(Coldly, into the phone)

Speak.

(He listens for a brief moment, his dark eyes locking onto Arna across the room)

No. I won't be coming to the office today.

(Sahas ends the call abruptly and tosses the phone back onto the bed. Arna watches him nervously, trying to compose herself as he steps back toward her.)

ARNA

(Curiously, her voice soft)

Why aren't you going to the office today?

(Sahas takes another step closer, the dark edge in his eyes softening into something surprisingly gentle.)

SAHAS

We're going out today. If you want to go shopping, eat at a restaurant, or go for a long drive... whatever you want to do, you can tell me today.

(A radiant smile instantly blooms across Arna's face. The rare warmth in his words melts away her anxiety.)

ARNA

(With genuine joy)

Thank you!

(Suddenly, before she can even process her happiness, Sahas grabs her wrist tightly. With a hard, sudden yank, he pulls her violently back into his space. His grip is ironclad, his dark eyes turning pitch-black with possessiveness as his tone drops into a chilling, ruthless threat.)

SAHAS

(Rudely, leaning right into her face)

But remember one thing, Arna... If you even try to run away from there, no one will be worse than me.

(Arna’s smile instantly shatters. The warmth vanishes, replaced by a cold knot in her stomach. Sadness fills her eyes as her heart breaks all over again at his terrifying, unpredictable behavior.)

(Sahas lets go of her wrist and steps back, completely composed, adjusting his towel slightly.)

SAHAS

You have 1 hour. Get ready, then we leave.

(Sahas turns on his heel and heads toward the closet, leaving Arna standing alone in the heavy, suffocating silence of the room.)

(ARNA heads into the bathroom to freshen up and take a shower. By the time she steps out, wrapped in a towel, SAHAS has already changed and gone down to the living area.)

(Arna takes her time getting ready. She picks out a simple, cute kurti, puts on minimal makeup, and slides into a pair of elegant heels. She leaves her long, silky hair open, cascading over her shoulders. The effortless simplicity makes her look breathtakingly gorgeous.)

LIVING AREA / GRAND STAIRCASE - CONTINUOUS

(SAHAS is standing in the living area, waiting. Hearing the soft click of her heels, he looks up toward the grand staircase. His breath hitches as he watches her descend, step by step.)

SAHAS

(Thinking to himself, his gaze intense and lingering)

I’ve always admired this beauty from a distance... but starting today, I get to admire it from up close.

(Arna reaches the bottom of the stairs and approaches him. Shyly, she reaches out and takes his hand.)

ARNA

(Softly)

Shall we go?

(Sahas doesn't answer right away. He stands frozen, completely spellbound by how stunning she looks.)

ARNA

(Gently tugging his hand, looking up at him)

Sahas?? What happened? Should we leave?

SAHAS

(Voice deep, laced with quiet admiration)

You look beautiful... insanely beautiful.

(A vibrant blush spreads across Arna's cheeks. She lowers her eyes, unable to hold his intense gaze.)

ARNA

(Blushing)

Let's go now...

SAHAS'S CAR - MOMENTS LATER

(Sahas drives while Arna sits in the passenger seat. The tension between them feels a little lighter, warmer than before. Arna turns to him, breaking the silence.)

ARNA

Are you free for the entire day?

SAHAS

(Glancing at her sideways)

Why?

ARNA

(A gentle smile on her face)

I was hoping we could spend the whole day outside. That way... we can spend more time together, and I can finally get to know you better.

(Sahas’s heart surges with a quiet satisfaction. Everything he ever wanted is finally within his reach, coming closer to him on her own terms.)

SAHAS

(Smirking softly, his voice dropping into a low, affectionate tone)

For you, baby girl... I'm free every single day.

(SAHAS keeps his eyes on the road as ARNA turns to face him, her eyes bright with excitement.)

ARNA

(Enthusiastic)

Alright, so can I tell you the plan?

SAHAS

(Glancing at her, amused)

Yeah, tell me.

ARNA

(Counting on her fingers)

Okay, so I need to buy lots of clothes, purses, jewelry, and heels, since we didn't bring any of my stuff from my house. After all that shopping, we'll go have lunch at a restaurant. Then, some makeup shopping, followed by a movie! After the movie, we'll head back home, change into something nice, and hit a club...

(Sahas breaks into a slight smirk, raising an eyebrow at her endless list.)

SAHAS

So... you want to pull off all of this in a single day?

ARNA

(Slightly pouting)

Yes! Because... who knows when you'll take me out next? Why, can't we do all of this in one day?

SAHAS

(Softly, his tone full of quiet devotion)

Anything for you.

(Sahas steps on the gas, accelerating down the highway. A quiet calm settles over the car for a few minutes before Arna speaks up again, her tone shifting, noticeably hesitant.)

ARNA

(Fumbling)

Um... I was thinking... I mean, I wanted to ask...

ARNA

(Stopping mid-sentence)

SAHAS

(Noticing her hesitation)

Yeah? Tell me, what happened?

ARNA

(Voice small, nervous, terrified he might lose his temper)

I... I wanted a mobile... a phone.

(Sahas's expression neutralizes. His grip on the steering wheel tightens just a fraction.)

SAHAS

(Calculated, cool)

We'll think about it.

ARNA

(Frustrated, her fear turning into annoyance)

What do you mean "we'll think about it"? I get so bored! Passing an entire day at home without a phone is almost impossible.

SAHAS

(Completely unfazed)

What's there to get bored about at home? You can watch TV, read books, or play songs on the speakers and dance.

ARNA

(Hurt, her voice cracking)

Forget it. Just forget I even asked.

(Tears pool in Arna's eyes. She abruptly turns her head away from him, refusing to let him see her cry. She rolls down the car window and stares out at the passing roads, letting the cold wind rush over her face to hide her falling tears.)
